Johor Port Berhad (JPB), a Member of MMC Group recently hosted its first 2017 Town Hall Meeting at Oasis Training Hall, Johor Port.


The event, with the objectives of fielding information and company performance saw participation from nearly 250 employees, comprising both management team and non-management of Johor Port Berhad Group. Also present to grace the occasion were YBhg Dato’ Sri Che Khalib Mohamad Noh, Chairman of JPB, Mr Ian Brian James, Group Chief Executive Officer of MMC Port Holdings Sdn. Bhd and En Afri Affandi Baharuddin, Executive Director of JP Logistics.


The event began with a presentation by En Shahrull Allam Shah, Chief Executive Officer of JPB to highlight the overall performance and achievements in 2016, followed by a speech from YBhg Dato’ Sri Che Khalib, encouraging all employees to heal, inspire and generate ideas on how to move forward together in achieving bigger milestones in 2017.


At the end of the interactive engagement session, the event proceeded with the launch of ‘Do It Better, Taking It Further’ campaign with pronouncement of the pledge by En Shahrull Allam Shah and the department heads of Johor Container Terminal, Break Bulk Terminal, Marine Services, Port Safety & Security, Maintenance & Repair and subsidiary of JPB JPLogistics. The campaign, which was formulated from the first ‘Do It Better’ campaign launched in 2015 aims to foster the spirit of realising the Company’s goal to become a “RM1 Billion revenue generating company with doubling profits by 2018’.
