Senai Airport Terminal Services Sdn Bhd (SATSSB), a Member of MMC Group recently obtained the ISO Certification for Quality Management System (ISO9001:2015) and Information Security Management System (ISO27001:2013). The scope of certification for both standards is Provision of Airport Services which covers the whole airport operation and services processes.
Previously, SATSSB was certified with ISO27001:2005 which covers the security access system as well as the ISO9001:2008 covering the aviation security service only.
The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) established the latest ISO9001:2015 certification as the newly revised international standard for Quality Management System. It focuses on risk-based thinking in delivering services to the customers. On the other hand, the ISO27001:2013 is a standard for an information security management system (ISMS).
“These certifications (ISO9001:2015 and ISO27001:2013 are a testament to our commitment in providing consistent services to our customers and their expectations without compromising on safety, security and regulatory requirements”, said Md Derick Basir, SATSSB’s Chief Executive Officer. “We are proud of our colleagues for their teamwork and efforts to attain both certifications”, he added.
