MMC Group Supports the Development

of Students and Schools Through MMC Smart Circle Programme

Members of MMC Group in the southern region which include Johor Port Berhad, Pelabuhan Tanjung Pelepas, Senai Airport Terminal Services and Senai Airport City held a joint Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) called MMC Smart Circle programme.

A total of RM65,000 of MMC Zakat Fund was contributed to 13 selected schools within the areas of southern operating companies which was held at Senai Business Aviation Terminal, with each school received a total of RM5,000 contribution. Tn Haji Rozani Mohamad, Head of Academic Unit from Kulai District Education Office and Noor Safura Suib, Chief Operating Officer of Senai Airport handed the contribution to the schools principals.

Besides the southern region, Northport (Malaysia) Bhd (Northport), a Member of MMC Group held its CSR programme on 24 November 2017. The initiative, which involved the Group’s contribution of educational materials and reference books worth RM5,000 for the school library was part of the MMC Smart Circle Programme, held at Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Pulau Carey in Kuala Langat.

Tuan Haji Mahyani Bin Haji Simis, Principal of SMK Pulau Carey, was present to receive the educational materials and reference books from Northport’s representative during the handing over ceremony and was witnessed by the school’s teachers and students.

MMC Smart Circle Programme was aimed at assisting both students and school’s development by providing learning materials and upgrading the school libraries. The programme was also held to enhance academic growth and inculcate good reading habits among students.
