Pelabuhan Tanjung Pelepas Sdn Bhd (PTP), a Member of MMC Group successfully conducted The Sungai Pulai Mutual Aid Response “SUPMAR” in collaboration with ATT Tanjung Bin and Malakoff Power Plant Response Team in Sungai Pulai, Johor.


More than 80 personnel which include PTP Oil Spill Response Team, ATT Tanjung Bin Response Team, Malakoff Power Plant Response Team along with external consultants and Government agencies such as Lembaga Pelabuhan Johor, Marine Department and Department of Environment participated in the oil spill response exercise which was organised in every two years.


The exercise was a success as the teams effectively executed the response strategy according to the plan. At the end of the exercise, the teams received positive feedback from the independent observers and the authorities involved.


The event was part of the parties’ Corporate Social Responsibility aimed at strengthening tripartite collaboration and readiness to response to any oil spill incident that could affect the environment. Additionally, the exercise was also conducted to establish a systematic response guidelines as well as providing tactical and countermeasure actions should there be any emergencies within the Sungai Pulai area.
