MMC Corporation Berhad (MMCB) organised a special visit to an orphanage at the House of Joy, Puchong, Selangor for its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme in conjunction with the upcoming Chinese New Year celebration.
The event saw participation of 20 volunteers engaging with more than 50 children aged between 4 to 16 years old in a cheerful festive mood. The programme kicked off with a friendly welcoming session followed by fun activitites such as colouring contest, prize giving session, mingling and entertaining the children.
To end the special day, the children received goody bag comprises water bottle, stationeries, mandarin oranges, festive cookies and packed food.
The CSR programme was one of the avenues to foster the spirit of volunteerism and unity among multi-racial Malaysians celebrating festivities of different cultures. It also provided a platform and opportunity for the company to expand its community outreach and build meaningful relationships with the local community.
