Senai Airport Terminal Services Sdn Bhd (SATSSB), a Member of MMC Group celebrated the latest commencement of international flights from Seoul, South Korea by Jin Air, a Korean based airline in an event held at the new international boarding hall, Senai Airport.
YB Datuk Tee Siew Kiong, Johor Tourism, Domestic Trade and Consumerism Committee Chairman, Abdul Malik bin Hj Ismail, Director of Tourism Johor and Md Derick Basir, Chief Executive Officer of SATSSB were present to receive the passengers of the maiden Boeing-777 flight which arrived in Senai International Airport at 11.15pm.
Together onboard the flight were Choi Jung Ho, President of Jin Air and Ko Kwangho, Vice President of Jin Air.
For the initial stage, Jin Air will be operating 18 flights for two times a week on a chartered scheduled service. Effective June onwards, the airline will operate 4 times weekly on a regular scheduled basis.
The introduction of the new route provides opportunity for Johoreans to fly directly to Korea and also to other various cities in Japan such as Tokyo, Nagoya and Fukuoka including to Honolulu, Hawaii via Seoul. With this latest route addition, Senai Airport currently handles 638 weekly arrivals and departures to 8 international and 11 domestic airports.
