Johor Port Berhad (JPB), a Member of MMC Group signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with PT Pelabuhan Indonesia I (PELINDO I) to establish Roll-on-Roll Off activities and shipping connectivity, in a ceremony held at Mutiara Hotel in Johor Bahru.


The MoU were signed by En Shahrull Allam Shah, Chief Executive Officer of JPB and Mr Hamid Wijaya, PELINDO I Human Resources and General Affair Director, witnessed by YB Datuk Ab Aziz Kaprawi, Deputy Minister of Transport Malaysia and Mr Andreano Erwin,  Deputy Indonesian Ambassador to Malaysia.


The MoU builds on the Strategic Logistics collaboration to establish shipping connectivity within ports operated by PELINDO I in Sumatera/Aceh and ports within the MMC Ports. Under the MoU, both ports will explore potential co-operation and other opportunities in Port and Logistics businesses such as Operation & Management approach on existing and new port development and joint collaboration on new port development.


The milestone event further strengthens the synergy between PELINDO I and MMC Ports in sharing JPB’s experience and expertise in Port Training Services, consultation on Container and Conventional Operations, collaboration on Inter Port Logistics Services and a Sister Port Partnership program.
