More Than 900 Students Benefit From

Malakoff’s Breakfast Programme

Malakoff Corporation Berhad (Malakoff), a Member of MMC Group, launched its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme called ‘Jom Sarap’ at Sekolah Kebangsaan Serkat, Pontian, Johor.


‘Jom Sarap’ is an initiative by Malakoff involving seven primary schools with more than 900 students located in Mukim Serkat. During the course of ‘Jom Sarap’, free breakfast is served early in the morning by the school canteen operators in accordance with the guidelines set by the Ministry of Education. The programme is targeted to continue until the end of the current school year.


The other six primary schools involved were Sekolah Kebangsaan Sungai Durian, Sekolah Kebangsaan Andek Mori, Sekolah Kebangsaan Permas Kelapa, Sekolah Kebangsaan Seri Sinaran Chokoh, Sekolah Kebangsaan Sungai Boh and Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan (Cina) Pei Chiao.


Dato’ Ahmad Fuaad Kenali, Chief Executive Officer of Malakoff expressed his appreciation to the support given by YB Haji Suhaimi Salleh, Kukup State Assemblyman, En Roslan Bokari, Village Chief of Mukim Serkat, respective school principals and Chairmen of the Parents Teachers Association in making this programme a reality.


The programme was organised as part of Malakoff’s CSR initiatives to fulfil its role a responsible corporate organisation in community development as well as providing students with nutritious breakfast and encourage them to come to school early.
