Malakof Recognised for CSR During

National Day Celebration in Pontian

Malakoff Corporation Berhad (Malakoff), a member of MMC Group,  received an “Anugerah Khas” in recognition for the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programmes in Pontian, particularly in Mukim Serkat where Malakoff operates.

The award was presented by YB Liow Cai Tung, Johor State Executive Chairman of Women and Tourism Development, who was the official representative of Menteri Besar Johor for the Merdeka celebration.  En Mohd Kopli Yunus, the Plant Manager of Tanjung Bin Power Plant, received the Award on behalf of Malakoff.

Also present at the event was YB Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan, Pontian Member of Parliament; YB Taqiuddin Che’ Man, Pulai Sebatang State Assemblyman; YB Yeo Tung Siong, Pekan Nanas State Assemblyman; YB Datuk Ir Hasni Mohammad, Benut State Assemblyman; Yang Berusaha Mohd Shukri Mohd Masbah, Pontian District Officer; Yang Berusaha Nor Syazlan Abd Razak, Yang Dipertua Majlis Daerah Pontian; as well as heads and officers of government department and agencies. Approximately 10,000 people took part in the celebration.

In citation of the Award, Malakoff was described as a strong supporter for the CSR programmes especially for the local community in Mukim Serkat, Pontian.
