Malakoff Corporation Berhad (Malakoff), a member of MMC Group, collaborated with YB Dr. Md Farid Md Rafik, Tanjung Piai Member of Parliament (MP) and Deputy Minister of the Prime Minister’s Department (National Unity and Social Well-Being), have distributed financial aid to 76 recipients at a ceremony held in Masjid Jamek Pekan Nanas, Pontian, Johor.
The ceremony was also attended by YB Yeo Tung Siong, Pekan Nanas State Assemblyman, and En Mohd Kopli Yunus, Plant Manager of Tanjung Bin Power Plant, as Malakoff representative.
The aid aims to provide some relief and assistance to the recipients in preparing for the Hari Raya Aidiladha celebration, especially for recipients who were affected by the recent flash floods around Pontian. YB Dr. Farid also distributed a bag of rice to each recipient. The total amount of aid distributed was RM36,000 of the Wakalah Zakat fund.
In his speech, YB Dr. Farid thanked Malakoff for their support to the local community in Pontian and hoped that Malakoff will continue to give back to the community in the future.
