MMC Ports Participates in the PEMA Autumn Meeting In Hong Kong
MMC Port Holdings, a member of MMC Group, participated in the Port Equipment Manufacturers Association (PEMA) Autumn Meeting, held at The Excelsior Hotel, Hong Kong from 9 to 11 October 2018.
The event was organised by PEMA, which comprised 109 companies including manufacturers of port and terminal equipment, components and control system technology; as well as consultants related to equipment design, specifications and operations. Among the notable companies present at the event were ZPMC, APMT CES, Siemens, Hamburg Port Consultants, Michelin, Navis and Terberg.
MMC Ports, PSA, ICTSI, BMT Group and Adani Ports (Howe Group) were invited to the event as Special Guests to share the latest technical details and developments in the Container Terminals industry.
More than 100 participants including CEOs and R&D Engineers took part in this event. During this event, committees deliberated on new developments, standards and modern technologies in three round table forums. The topics discussed revolved around Safety and Environment, Automation and Control Technologies, as well as Equipment Design and Infrastructure.
Luis Canto, Chief Technical Officer of MMC Ports, was featured as one of the conference guest speakers and presented a topic titled “Ports’ Actual Challenges and Brownfield Terminals Automation”.
The participation of MMC Ports in this event is part of the company’s effort to increase brand awareness, build partnerships and group synergy with our main suppliers; while at the same time strengthen ties with other regional and worldwide port operators.
