Northport Hosts The Inaugural Albukhary Group Product Showcase

Northport (Malaysia) Bhd (Northport), a member of MMC Group, hosted the Albukhary Group Product Showcase 2018 (AGPS 2018). 26 companies under the Albukhary Group participated in the inaugural event and showcased their products and services under one roof.

Among the participating companies were MMC Group, PROTON Holdings Berhad, Padi Beras Nasional Berhad (BERNAS), Central Sugars Refinery Sdn Bhd (CSR), MPH Bookstores Sdn Bhd, DRB-HICOM Environmental Services Sdn Bhd (DHES), Tradewinds Hotels and Resorts Sdn Bhd, Pos Malaysia Berhad, The Malaysian Reserve, Tradewinds Travel, Bank Muamalat Malaysia Berhad, Glenmarie Properties Sdn Bhd, Syarikat Motosikal dan Enjin Nasional Sdn. Bhd (Modenas), Puspakom Sdn Bhd and many others.

The showcase was organised with the aim of introducing operating companies under the Albukhary Group to Northport's facilities and employees as well as its customers and stakeholders comprising of shipping and logistics companies, port users, contractors and Government agencies operating in Northport.

AGPS 2018, which was held at Northport’s CBM Hall and carpark on 26 October 2018, was officiated by Tan Sri Dato' Seri Shamsul Azhar Abbas, Chairman of MMC Corporation Berhad. Also present during the launch ceremony were Dato' Mohammad Zainal Shaari, Chairman of DRB-HICOM Berhad and Director of Tradewinds Corporation Berhad; Dato' Sri Che Khalib Mohamad Noh, Group Managing Director of MMC Corporation Berhad; Dato' Sri Syed Faisal Albar Syed A.R. Albar, Group Managing Director of DRB-HICOM Berhad; along with Chairmen, Directors, CEO’s and senior management of companies under the Albukhary Group.


The Albukhary Group is one of Malaysia's most reputable and renowned conglomerates, with business interests ranging from ports & logistics to automotive & engineering, banking & e-commerce, airport management, print, sugar, rice, palm oil plantations, hotels, property development and travel services.

AGPS 2018 also offered a platform for all participating companies to develop business networking and further strengthen the synergy that exists within the Group. More than 1,500 people visited the 26 booths on display and RM1.67 million was recorded during AGPS 2018.
