MMC Corporation Berhad (MMC Group), went on an interesting visit to the Islamic Arts Museum Malaysia (IAMM) in Kuala Lumpur over the weekend with two groups of tahfiz students from Maahad Tahfiz Muaz Al-Hikmah and Akademi Tahfiz Ilya Ul-Quran, both schools located in Selangor. The visit which was part of the Group’s CSR initiatives placed importance on educating the students on history and accomplishments of Islamic empires and societies across the globe.

More than 50 students and four teachers were led on a guided-tours by experienced museum guides together with MMC Group volunteers who engaged and interacted with the students. The tour provided an opportunity for the students to explore meaningful connections between Islamic history and its influences in today’s world.

The information and exhibits available at the IAMM were indeed enlightening for the students as they learned through close examination of genuine exhibits like ancient garments, tomes, potteries, ceramics, armours, weapons and models of structures from Islamic societies from China to the European continent.

MMC Group believes that education is one of the biggest ways to create lasting impacts to society especially the youths. The IAMM visit organised by MMC Group is another successful step in building an upright future generation, as we learn where we were before, we can better appreciate where we are today.
