MMC PLSB Shares Knowledge on
Modern Sewerage Treatment Technology with
IUKL Engineering Students

MMC Pembetungan Langat Sdn Bhd (MMC PLSB) received visitors from Infrastructure University Kuala Lumpur (IUKL) for a Mini Seminar and Educational Visit to Langat Sewerage Project site office. This is the eleventh session of mini seminar as well as the first seminar conducted for year 2019. A total of 78 Engineering students accompanied by three lecturers involved in the visit. This programme is a medium of knowledge sharing with engineering student related to modern technology innovation in sewage treatment plant which was introduced by the government through Langat Sewerage Project.
Deputy Project Director of MMC PLSB, Major Zulkarnain Yaakub (R) delivered an opening speech by introducing Langat Sewerage Project to the students. The invited speaker to talk on Engineering Design Basic of the project was Ir. Moghan Muniandy, the consultant from SHMB Sdn Bhd. The highlighted topics were the Introduction to Sewage Treatment, Langat CSTP Overview, Treatment Process System Design, Civil and Structural Engineering Design and Green Technology Elements.
Q&A session after the talk has given an opportunity to the students to have a better understanding regarding to the topics. They were also brought to the site office rooftop to see the progress of the project. After the rooftop tour, the students visited the Public Information Centre to get further explanation on the project, delivered by one of the CSTP MMC PLSB engineers. CSTP Project model provided in the Public Information Centre was also used as an additional source of information for the visitors.
