PTP Holds Iftar Feast and Distributes

3,000 Packets of Bubur Lambuk to

Gelang Patah Community

Port of Tanjung Pelepas (PTP), a member of MMC Group, continued its annual tradition of spreading goodwill by distributing over 3,000 packets of sumptuous Bubur Lambuk to adjacent communities as well as holding an iftar feast for 100 elderly of Rumah Seri Kenangan, Johor Bahru.

The annual Bubur Lambuk giveaway initiative under the Jalinan Ukhwah Programme was organised in collaboration between PTP Management, Kelab Keluarga PTP and Surau At-Taqwa PTP. This year, more than 100 PTP volunteers including Mr Marco Neelsen, Chief Executive Officer of PTP, have taken part in the programme. The volunteers were seen working together diligently from the preparation of the savoury dish to the distribution phase at Rumah Seri Kenangan, Masjid Kg Tiram Duku, Masjid Kg Pok, Masjid Desa Paya Mengkuang, Masjid Kg Ladang, Surau Tg Adang and Masjid Abu Hurairah. This distribution activity was aimed at encouraging volunteerism amongst PTP staff and fostering the spirit of togetherness and goodwill in conjunction with the holy month of Ramadan.

During the Iftar feast at Rumah Seri Kenangan, several PTP Senior Management members including Jaizal Kamar Jalaludin, Head of Human Capital Management Division and Mohammed Hazaluddin Hashim, Head of HSSE Division also joined the volunteers in sharing the joy and blessings of Ramadan with the residents.

This year marks the ninth consecutive year since PTP first organised its Bubur Lambuk tradition in 2010. Apart from the Bubur Lambuk distribution and iftar with residents of Rumah Seri Kenangan, several other initiatives are also in the pipeline throughout the month of Ramadan, including the annual Hari Raya Aid Distribution programme and Iftar programme with Rumah Kebajikan Arrayyan, Johor Bahru.
