Johor Port Berhad (Johor Port), a member of MMC Group, partnered with Johor Port Authority (JPA) to organise another meaningful Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme, ‘Bubur Lambuk Perdana 2019’.

The programme which was aimed at fostering the spirit of togetherness among Johor Port employees and spreading goodwill during Ramadan; was graced by Tuan Haji Rosnan Fathlal, Chairman of JPA. Also present at the event were Dato’ Seri Che Zakaria Mohd Salleh, Board Member of JPA cum State Legislative Assembly of Permas; Hermee Tahir, Head of Human Resources and Administration of Johor Port; along with other senior management members of Johor Port and JPA.

“This is a great gesture from Johor Port in fostering closer ties with the local authority and community while giving back to the society”, said Dato‘ Seri Che Zakaria at the event.

A total of 3,700 containers of bubur lambuk were distributed to Johor Port and JPA employees, Johor Port’s tenants and local communities in Pasir Gudang area. Johor Port volunteers also took to the road, distributing bubur lambuk packets to passing motorists at four strategic locations in Pasir Gudang. Road users were pleasantly surprised to receive the bubur lambuk and goodwill gesture demonstrated by Johor Port volunteers during this fasting month.

With great support and well-coordinated team effort, the overall preparation, packing and distribution of bubur lambuk proved to be great success. Johor Port intends to continue the annual tradition of distributing bubur lambuk as one of the ongoing efforts to strengthen the relationship between the company and its stakeholders including the local communities.
