Johor Port Inks Marine Services  Agreement with Petronas LNG

Johor Port Berhad (Johor Port), a member of MMC Group signed a Marine Services Agreement with PETRONAS LNG Ltd (PLL), a subsidiary of Petroliam Nasional Bhd (PETRONAS) at Renaissance Hotel, Johor Bahru.


The Marine Services Agreement between Johor Port and PLL is for provision of marine services to offer attractive tariff to vessels subscribing Gassing Up and Cooling Down (GUCD) services from PLL at the Regasification Terminal Pengerang (RGTP).


Johor Port currently provides a range of marine services for all types of vessels including Tugs and Pilotage, Berthing / Unberthing, Shifting, Oil Rig Movement / Positioning and Repositioning Oil Rig, Dockwise Offload and Onload, Ship to Ship Transfer, Dead Ship Tow, Anchoring and Lay-Up and Docking and Undocking VLCC.


Johor Port have well trained and experienced pilots to handle all types of vessels and equipped with the supporting resources like tug boats, mooring boats and mooring gang which are at par with other developed ports in the region.

 

The signing of this Marine Services Agreement is another significant milestone Johor Port and PETRONAS, following their existing working relationship dating back in 2015 for Material Off Loading Facility (MOLF) project in Teluk Ramunia and Tanjung Setapa. Johor Port also currently operates and manages the PETRONAS Solid Product Terminal in Pengerang which includes the provision of operating equipment, systems and manpower.


In line with its vision to be one of the most efficient and integrated multi-purpose ports in the region,  Johor Port continuously improves the range of services that it can offer to all of its current and future customers and this includes not only depending on traditional port business, but also diversifying its services into non-traditional port services to accommodate the growing market’s needs.
