Malakoff Wins Two Gold Awards at Regional Team Excellence

Malakoff Corporation Berhad (Malakoff), a member of MMC Group, bagged two Gold awards at the regional Team Excellence Convention (TEC) organised by Malaysia Productivity Corporation on 31 July and 1 August 2019 at Hotel Perdana, Kota Bharu, Kelantan. The awards were presented to Malakoff for Lean Six Sigma (LSS) projects on Scaffolding Lead Time Improvement at Tanjung Bin Power Plant and C-Inspection Process Improvement at Lumut Power Plant.

The Gold winners from TEC are automatically qualified to compete at the national level, in conjunction with the 9th Annual Productivity & Innovation Conference 2019 to be held at Sunway Pyramid Convention Centre, Petaling Jaya scheduled on 5 to 7 November 2019.

Speaking on the awards, Dato’ Ahmad Fuaad Kenali, Chief Executive Officer of Malakoff acknowledged that Malakoff’s efforts in improving its quality and innovation have resulted in improved processes on its operations.

“This shows that operational improvements and cost optimisation can be achieved by applying the right technique like LSS. To ensure that Malakoff remains competitive, we will continue to put more effort on improving our operational efficiencies by enhancing our systems, processes and procedures,” said Dato’ Ahmad Fuaad.
