MMC Corporation Berhad (MMC Group) continued its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme towards the Orang Asli community by visiting the patients at Hospital Orang Asli Gombak (HOAG).


During the visit, the volunteers were welcomed by Rohaidah Holen, Social Worker of HOAG with a sharing session on the history and background of HOAG.


The volunteers were then taken to the ward where they cheerfully engaged with over 20 Orang Asli patients and they were thrilled to receive goody bags comprising of food and drinks. The families who were present during the visit were also happy and commended this effort. During the same event, HOAG was presented with necessities consisting of baby napkins, pampers, baby bath, soap and sanitary amenities.


HOAG, which is the only hospital for Orang Asli aimed at providing exclusive health services towards approximately 200,000 of its community in Malaysia. Established in 1960, the health institution is an assurance from the Ministry of Health towards Orang Asli community to receive equal health services as other multiracial community in this country. To date, HOAG operations is supported by 11 doctors and 40 staff. Apart of health services, this hospital also provides a comfortable transit centre for the patient’s family while being treated.


MMC Group encourages continuous participation from its employees to contribute and give back to society through company CSR platform. Such community service programme provides a good humanitarian activity that can create lots of benefit socially, emotionally and physically.
