Pelabuhan Tanjung Pelepas Sdn Bhd (PTP), a member of MMC Group, participated in a special career dialogue session entitled PTP CEO Industry Talk, organised by Politeknik Sultan Ibrahim in Pasir Gudang, Johor.
Held at Tunku Laksamana Abdul Jalil Hall, the event gathered more than 400 Diploma students from mechanical and electrical courses for the two-hour engagement with Marco Neelsen, Chief Executive Officer of PTP on various topic related to the port, maritime and logistics sector.
The event was organised as part of the TVET institution’s initiative to create better awareness, career opportunities as well as providing comprehensive insights for the students towards the port and maritime industries. Other activities held, includes exhibition, demonstration on latest technology by final year students and many more.
The participation of PTP in this event was part of its ongoing stakeholders engagement initiative to create awareness among undergraduates about the working environment and opportunities available in the port industry especially at PTP while creating better strategic collaboration with local higher learning institutions to empower talent pools in maritime, logistics and port management in Malaysia.
