As a way to provide convenience to employees during the Movement Control Order (MCO), Northport (Malaysia) Bhd (Northport), a member of MMC Group, has developed an Online Ramadan Bazaar service to help its employees to buy foods and beverages for buka puasa throughout the month of Ramadan.
The online bazaar service, which commenced from the first day of Ramadan, allows Northport employees to purchase their buka puasa meals from a wide variety of selection of local delicacies, middle east and western foods as well as the popular Ramadan kuih-muih and drinks.
Northport’s Online Ramadan Bazaar site, which is available at https://northport.orderla.my, is open daily from 7.00 pm until 10.00 am the following day for the meal orders. All orders are delivered to Northport every day for collection by the employees from 4.00 pm until 5.30 pm. To ease the transaction, all payments for the orders are also made cashless through an online payment platform, ToyyibPay.
Besides providing convenience to Northport employees, the initiative is also intended to limit the need for the employees to go out to get their buka puasa meals. The Online Ramadan Bazaar will also offer Hari Raya necessities and goodies during the last two weeks of Ramadan.
Throughout the MCO period, Northport has taken various initiatives to ensure the safety of its employees, including body temperature screening at all Northport entry points, regular sanitisation works at common workplaces, consistent communication on Covid-19 awareness, advisory and updates as well as the provision of face masks, hand gloves and hand sanitisers to all operations employees.
Northport is also emphasising on social distancing at all common areas including office premises, canteens and building lifts as precautionary measures to prevent the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic.
