Johor Port Supports Smart Learning Environment at Maahad Johor

Johor Port Berhad (Johor Port) a member of MMC Group, contributed computers to Maahad Johor, a religious secondary school in Johor Bahru as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme.

With the aim at supporting smart learning environment in the school, Johor Port complemented the school’s library by contributing five units of refurbished computers complete with the latest Microsoft software and standard computer programme to be used as the smart learning tools for the students. Established in 1960, Maahad Johor is a 60-year-old state-run religious secondary school that offers conventional subjects and religious studies.

Education is one of the key elements of Johor Port’s CSR programme in expanding the company’s contribution towards community. In 2012, Johor Port has contributed IT equipment to 51 pre-schools within the Pasir Gudang vicinity and since 2018, Johor Port has been donating refurbishes computers to schools in Johor such as Sekolah Kebangsaan Kongkong Laut, Sekolah Agama Permas Jaya, Sekolah Kebangsaan Taman Rinting and Sekolah Kebangsaan Taman Megah Ria.

This is in line with Johor Port’s continuous commitment to promote education development by aiding the schools with learning assistance. This programme is also part of the company’s effort in environmental protection by reducing electronic waste with computer refurbishing.
