Malakoff Corporation Berhad (Malakoff), a member of MMC Group, bagged two Gold Awards at the Regional Innovation Showcase on Team Excellence (RISTEx) 2020 organised by Malaysia Productivity Corporation (MPC) on 30 September 2020. Malakoff was bestowed with the awards for two of its projects namely Tanjung Bin Power Plant (TBPP) Minor Outage Cost Optimisation and Lumut Power Plant (LPP) Inventory Value Optimisation.

RISTEx 2020 aimed to promote and intensify improvement in productivity while enhancing the competitiveness and profitability of an organisation. Productivity is also seen as a ‘game changer’ in moving Malaysia towards becoming a developed country. The two teams will then be competing against the selected best in the industry at the 10th Annual Productivity and Innovation Conference and Exposition (APIC 2020) scheduled in November.

Commenting on the win, Idzam Yuhaizi Mohd Yunos, Head of Risk and Process Improvement Division of Malakoff said, “It is an honour to be receiving these prestigious awards. It has been a challenging year for all of us, but this recognition further reinforces the fact that we have been staying on track and our commitment towards ensuring our projects meet the very best of industry standards is proving to be fruitful.”
