On 19 January 2016, Konsortium Logistik Berhad’s (KLB) RORO vessel, MV Zarah Sofia, commenced the handling of Honda cars shipment in its voyage to East Malaysia (Sabah and Sarawak). This occasion marked the maiden shipment of Honda cars using the VTC facilities at Northport with 126 units of Honda cars were loaded onto MV Zarah Sofia, along with other 1,562 vehicles and heavy equipment. 

To mark the occasion, Northport (Malaysia) Bhd's (Northport) Head of Commercial Division, Mr Suresh Kumar presented a memento to Ms Jahabarnisa, General Manager of Sales, Honda Malaysia Sdn Bhd. Also present were KLB’s Chief Executive Officer, En Mohd Rani Hisham Samsudin and its Chief Operating Officer, En Nor Azizan Tarja.

MV Zarah Sofia which is owned by KLB, a member of the DRB-HICOM Group, officially launched its service in Northport in June 2015 and has since grown its business significantly. In 2015, MV Zarah Sofia handled 22,026 units of import and export vehicles at Northport, making them one of Northport's biggest RORO service providers.
