JPB Participates in World Fire-Fighters Day Parade 2016 National Level

On 10 May 2016, Johor Port Berhad’s (JPB) Port Security & Safety Department participated in the National Level World Firefighters Day Parade 2016.


The event was officiated by the DYMM Sultan Ibrahim, Sultan of Johor at PERSADA Johor Bahru. Also present were YAM Tunku Idris Iskandar, Tunku Temenggong Johor and YAM Tunku Abdul Rahman, Tunku Panglima Johor. YB Datuk Abdul Rahman Dahlan, Minister of Urban Well-Being, Housing and Local Government, together with his Deputy, Datuk Halimah Mohamed Sadique and The Malaysia Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) Director-General, Datuk Wan Mohd Nor Ibrahim were also present at the event.


JPB was represented by 20 personnel from Fire & Rescue and Security Emergency Response Team (ERT) together with representatives of Port of Tanjung Pelepas (PTP) and Tanjung Langsat Port (TLP) which involved JPB’s fire truck together with its fire and rescue pick-up.


The parade saw participation of 22 contingents comprising 1,620 JBPM personnel and school students, involving 62 of the department's vehicles and assets nationwide.


JPB’s participation showcased the commitment of JPB’s ERT and its asset in response to any emergencies. Apart from that, the event is a good platform to promote JPB’s name to the government agencies and the general public.
