On 26 August 2016, Northport (Malaysia) Bhd (Northport), a Member of MMC Group, organised a Northport Stakeholders’ Session with Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at CBM Hall, Northport C. The inaugural programme was held with participation of the haulier fraternity.

During the session, Northport’s CEO, Encik Azman Shah Mohd Yusof briefed the audience on the Company’s latest developments post-acquisition by MMC Corporation Berhad. The session emphasised on port safety aspects and the need for the haulage operators to jointly shoulder responsibilities to ensure that their drivers comply with Northport’s rules and regulations while operating in the port area. Also shared during the session were the new safety initiatives and improvements introduced by the Company.

The President of the Association of Malaysian Hauliers, Encik Nazari Hj. Akhbar and its Exco members were among the nearly 100 haulage company owners and senior officials in attendance.

The programme is one of the best platforms to interact with Northport’s stakeholders and to strengthen the working relationship with the port users. With the cooperation and support from the port users, the Company’s objective to provide the best service with a high standard of safety to its valued customers is well within reach.
