Malakoff Bags 4 Awards at Alpha Southeast Asia’s 10th Annual Institutional Investor Corporate Awards 2020

Malakoff Corporation Berhad (Malakoff), a member of MMC Group, won a total of four awards at the recently announced Alpha Southeast Asia’s 10th Annual Institutional Investor Corporate Awards 2020. Malakoff emerged as the winner in the ‘Most Improved Investor Relations’ and ‘Best Strategic Corporate Social Responsibility’ categories. Malakoff also clinched second place in the ‘Most Organised Investor Relations’ and ‘Best Senior Management IR Support’ categories, thus becoming one of the top winners from Malaysia.


This widely publicised investor poll is the first and only poll focused on Southeast Asia, with votes from institutional investors and analysts across the region as well as US and Europe. Running into its 10th year, the poll is conducted annually by Alpha Southeast Asia, a Hong Kong-based regional institutional investment publication. The awards honour top performance and leadership in financial management, investor relations, corporate governance and corporate social responsibility.


Commenting on the awards won, Dato’ Ahmad Fuaad Kenali, Chief Executive Officer of Malakoff said, “We must continuously embrace the industry’s best practices by ensuring that our strategies can support our growth momentum and help us remain resilient, particularly during these challenging times amidst the unprecedented COVID-19 pandemic.”
