First Hajj Flight Carrying 248 Pilgrims
Sets Off from Senai International Airport
The first Hajj flight carrying 248 pilgrims took off from Senai International Airport, Johor Bahru directly to Jeddah before continuing their journey to the Holy Land of Mecca.
The pilgrims were gathered inside the newly renovated International Departure Hall for prayers recital and final briefing before boarding the aircraft.
Together present were Dato’ Haji Mohammad @ Mokhzani Bin Mukhtar, Director of Tabung Haji Negeri Johor and En Md Derick Basir, Chief Executive Officer of Senai Airport Terminal Services Sdn Bhd (SATSSB), whom interacted and sent off the pilgrims.
This year’s Hajj operations shall see a total number of 2,870 pilgrims travelling on Malaysia Airlines’ special chartered Airbus 330 from Senai International Airport. 10 flights are scheduled to depart from 9 to 26 August 2017 while the arrival flights are scheduled to arrive from September to early October 2017.
