JPB Visits Bahru Stainless, One of The Largest Steel Manufacturers in Johor

Johor Port Berhad (JPB), a Member of MMC Group organised an official visit to Bahru Stainless Sdn Bhd (Bahru Stainless), one of the largest steel manufacturers in Johor. JPB was represented by its Chairman, Dato’ Sri Che Khalib Mohamad Noh together with Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Encik Shahrull Allam Shah. Both Dato’ Sri Che Khalib and Encik Shahrull Allam were accompanied by Mr Chris Fuentes, Chairman of Bahru Stainless and Mr Oswald Wolfe, CEO of Bahru Stainless for a brief presentation and a factory tour on 5 September 2016.

Located in Tanjung Langsat, Bahru Stainless is a Joint-Venture company between ACERINOX S.A. (A Spanish Stainless Steel Manufacturing Group - World major producer of Stainless Steel) and Nisshin Steel. JPB is providing an end-to-end supply chain solution for Bahru Stainless, with its subsidiary JP Logistics Sdn Bhd (JPLogistics) providing the total logistics solution for their inbound and outbound shipments.  The visit was one of JPB’s stakeholder management initiatives to further strengthen its relationships with its key stakeholders.

JPB is also developing a 30-acre land of Tanjung Langsat, designed to be an Export Processing Zone to cater to the consolidation activities in the upcoming 5,000 acres Tanjung Langsat Industrial area.
