Northport Committed to its Corporate

Social Responsibility Programme

Northport (Malaysia) Bhd (Northport), a Member of MMC Group successfully organised its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme on ‘Fire Emergency Awareness and Training’ for Maahad Tahfiz students in Klang.

The programme, aimed at educating on fire safety, protection and emergency preparations to the students was conducted by Northport’s Fire Department. An evacuation activity was also held to test the students’ speed and actions to be taken in the event of a fire emergency.

More than 100 students including school’s administrators participated in the CSR programme. Northport also contributed two fire extinguishers and made inspections to the school’s building to ensure it complies with the required fire safety procedures.

This CSR initiative demonstrates Northport’s role as a responsible corporate organisation towards the safety of local community through knowledge sharing and providing necessary support to the community.
