Following the recent flood situation nationwide, members of MMC Group in the Southern Region - Johor Port, PTP, Senai International Airport, Senai Airport City and Malakoff had organised a post-flood relief assistance to support the recovery of affected villagers in the district of Kluang and Kulai, Johor.


The distribution of various necessities to the flood victims was held from 8 to 13 January 2021. More than 115 affected families from Kampung Lukut in Kluang, Kampung Pasir and Kampung Sri Maju in Kulai received care packages consist of dry food such as biscuits, bread, mineral water, ready to cook noodles and personal hygiene kits. Other than that, the volunteers also distributed mattresses, pillows and blankets with the hope to ease the burden of the families which many of their belongings destroyed by the flood.


The distributions were made through Abdul Razak Hamid, Ketua Kampung Sungai Lukut and Tuan Haji Mohd Redza Abdul Rahman, Penghulu Mukim Senai at the flood relief centre located near the affected areas.  


The flood relief programme was held as part of the Group’s Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives under the community development aimed at helping the victims getting through the hard times especially under the COVID-19 pandemic environment which has already impacted people’s livelihood.
