PTP Collaborates with Johor Port

Authority to Contribute School Necessities to Underprivileged Students in Gelang Patah

Pelabuhan Tanjung Pelepas Sdn Bhd (PTP), a member of MMC Group, together with Johor Port Authority contributed school essentials to 170 underprivileged students in Gelang Patah area during the annual ‘Back to School 2020 Mini Distribution Programme’, recently.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and to prevent any risk of infection, three schools were selected as distribution centres namely SK Kompleks Sultan Abu Bakar, SK Taman Nusa Perintis 1 and SMK Tanjung Adang. Teachers and representatives from  all 17 schools  then collected the school essentials such as bags and stationeries from the distribution centres under strict health precautionary measures to safeguard all parties involved and to curb the chain of COVID-19.

PTP has been involved in the Back to School programme for more than 14 years. This year, the programme aimed at alleviating the parents burden and helping them to prepare their children for the new school academic year especially during this pandemic period.
