Malakoff Visits Flood Victims in Pahang

Malakoff Corporation Berhad (Malakoff), a member of MMC Group, organised a programme to visit employees of Alam Flora Sdn Bhd (Alam Flora) and Alam Flora Environmental Solutions (AFES) in Temerloh, Pahang who were heavily affected by the flood situation caused by severe weather conditions in the East Coast of Malaysia. The visit was led by Anwar Syahrin Abdul Ajib, Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Malakoff and accompanied by Dato’ Mohd Zain Hassan, Chief Executive Officer of Alam Flora.

A donation drive was held within the Company prior to the visit to spread awareness of the situation while providing an opportunity for employees to contribute to the flood victims.

During the visit, Anwar Syahrin together with Dato’ Mohd Zain spent some time with the affected employees to keep their sprits up and handed out the donations in the form of food supplies, necessities and allowance. The Company spent a total of RM52,200 benefiting 174 families during this flood relief programme.

Malakoff continues to be at the forefront in carrying out Corporate Social Responsibility activities, particularly in the areas it operates. The Company hopes that this initiative will serve as a morale boost for the affected victims to rebuild their homes and restore some form of normalcy back into their lives.
