Malakoff Contributes to Ease the Burden
of the Mukim Serkat Community
Malakoff Corporation Berhad (Malakoff), a member of MMC Group, donated RM21,300 from its Corporate Wakalah Zakat Fund to the students of Kawasan 1, Mukim Serkat in Pontian, Johor as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative. The handover ceremony was officiated Mohd Kopli Yunus, Tanjung Bin Power Plant Manager and Zool Shuhaifi Hassim, Village Chief of Mukim Serkat at Masjid Al-Amin Kg Sg Dinar, while adhering to strict Covid-19 Standard Operating Procedures.
The aim of this initiative is to ease the burden of the parents in the form of school fees and other basic school necessities before the start of the school year. 184 students from three schools, namely Sungai Boh, SK Seri Sinaran Chokoh and SMK Sri Kukup will be benefiting from this donation.
Malakoff’s CSR activities continue to be a cornerstone of its foundation for sustainable development, as the Company work closely with the local communities to ensure that their needs and well being are taken care of.
