PTP Receives Inaugural Working Visit by YB Senator Dato’ Isa Ab Hamid, Dewan Negara Parliamentary Member

Pelabuhan Tanjung Pelepas Sdn Bhd (PTP), a member of MMC Group, welcomed YB Senator Dato’ Isa Ab Hamid, Dewan Negara Parliamentary Member and his delegation for an official working visit.

The delegation was greeted by Muhammad Abdullah Hatta, Chief Financial Officer of PTP and Jaizal Kamar Jalaludin, Head of Human Capital Management Division of PTP. Also present during the visit were Harulnizam Abd Rahman, Director of Perak’s Department of Indigenous Development (JAKOA), Dato’ Hj Mohd Affandy Rashid, Chairman of Johor’s Indigenous Association, Dr Mohammad Zulafif Rahim, Chairman of Johor D’Duanu Organisation, Professor Madya Ts Dr Razali Hassan, Director of Malaysian Institute of Education and Vocational Training Research along with several representatives from other State’s JAKOA and PTP management team.

For this visit, YB Senator Dato’ Isa Ab Hamid and his delegation were given a comprehensive presentation on PTP’s operational performances and its latest development. This was followed by an in-depth discussion between both parties on the possibilities of recruiting the Orang Asli community to work at PTP and other future collaborations. During the session, representatives of Orang Asli employees in PTP shared their working experiences and benefits offered by PTP to the delegation for them to share the input with other Orang Asli community in Malaysia. The delegation then proceeded to PTP Vaccination Centre to observe the Orang Asli from Kampung Simpang Arang, Gelang Patah receiving their second dosage of vaccine.

This working visit was part of PTP’s stakeholder engagement programmes in 2021 aimed at strengthening bilateral relations between PTP and Government agencies while at the same time exploring collaboration opportunities for both parties.
