Johor Port Berhad (Johor Port), a member of MMC Group hosted an official working visit for YB Tuan Mohd Shahar Abdullah, Deputy Minister of Finance I and his delegation.

Also present during the visit were YB Dato’ Asman Shah Abdul Rahman, Mayor of Pasir Gudang City Council, Tuan Haji Rosnan Fathlal, Chairman of Johor Port Authority (JPA) and Kamaruzaman Haji Munasir, General Manager of JPA. Welcoming the delegation were Md Derick Basir, Chief Executive Officer of Johor Port and the senior management team.

Upon arrival, the delegation was given a comprehensive presentation covering the port’s milestones, operational performance, its strong Intra-Asia connectivity and ongoing development as the Premier Southern Gateway Multi-Purpose Port.  The delegation was then taken on a port tour to the Bulk and Break Bulk Terminal, Liquid Terminal which houses the world’s single largest Edible Oil Terminal and the Warehousing Facilities at the Free Zone area which is directly managed by Johor Port as the appointed Free Zone Authority.

This working visit was one of the important platforms for Johor Port to engage with its strategic stakeholders. It is hoped that such programmes will further strengthen the long-term business relationship between Johor Port and the Government agencies.

Johor Port will continue to deliver excellent performance and with the cooperation and support from its strategic stakeholders, the Premier Southern Gateway Multi-Purpose Port is poised to achieve greater heights in the years to come and be positioned as the Intra-Asia Hub in this region.
