MMC Gamuda has completed a trifecta of award wins, beating out the competition to be named Tunnelling Project of the Year in the New Civil Engineer (NCE) Tunnelling Festival 2021 that was held at Leonardo Royal Hotel, London. The NCE is the monthly publication of the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE), of the UK, and through the annual Tunneling Festival gathers thought-leaders, decision-makers and young engineers from the entire tunnelling community to network and share best practices.

This latest award win recognises MMC Gamuda’s excellence in delivering the MRT Putrajaya Line Project thus far, as well as making advancements in industry best practices and the use of collaborative approaches to deliver the works. Further helping to differentiate MMC Gamuda from the competition, were the project team’s efforts to improve the skills and diversity the workforce, as well as the sustainable use of materials and methodologies.

Everyone in the project team deserves the utmost praise, for working hand in hand to overcome challenges and keep the project on schedule over the past year. This win was an impressive feather in the cap for the project.
