Pelabuhan Tanjung Pelepas Sdn Bhd (PTP), a member of MMC Group, together with Lembaga Pelabuhan Johor (LPJ) continue to make an impactful change and bring joy to the Gelang Patah community by organising the annual Tijarah Ramadan Programme.
The CSR programme was organised to support and give assistance to the underprivileged and disadvantaged families, especially those who are severely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic during the month of Ramadan.
This year, PTP and LPJ identified 170 families from five villages namely, Kampung Pok, Kampung Ladang, Kampung Tanjung Adang, Kampung Pekajang and Kampung Tiram Duku in Mukim Tanjung Kupang, Gelang Patah to receive the special aid in the form of financial contributions and essential goods for the preparation of Hari Raya Aidilfitri.
The aid distribution team, consisting of 25 dedicated volunteers from PTP and LPJ worked closely with the village representatives to ensure that all safety and precautionary measures were complied with the advisory and requirements set by the Ministry of Health.
PTP has been organising Tijarah Ramadan Programme since 2011. This initiative has been adopted under MMC Prihatin goodwill banner and received full support from LPJ, serves as one of the platforms in reaching out to the local community in Gelang Patah.
