Pelabuhan Tanjung Pelepas Sdn Bhd  (PTP), a member of MMC Group, together with Johor Port Authority (JPA) distributed self-hygienic supplies to residents of Rumah Seri Kenangan, an old folks’ home in Johor Bahru as part of the organisations’ continuous corporate social responsibility programme involving the community.

Senior citizens are facing higher risk of Covid-19 infection. In a view of this, PTP together with JPA have taken the initiative to provide residents of Rumah Seri Kenangan with self-hygienic supplies to ensure that they are able to maintain the highest level of hygiene, reduce the chances of infections and other diseases associated with poor personal hygiene and indirectly aid them to combat against Covid-19.

The self-hygienic supplies such as anti-bacterial shower gel, adult diapers, toothbrush, tooth paste and others were handed over to Wan Zalina Wan Ismail, Deputy Enforcer of Rumah Seri Kenangan by representative from PTP. During the hand over session, all precautionary measures were strictly followed to ensure the safety of all parties involved.

Earlier this year, PTP together with JPA organised a month-long donation drive to collect necessities such as trolley bags, kain sarong, t-shirt, sarong batik, kurung Kedah and head scarves to the residents for their temporary relocation to Seremban branch which has been postponed due to the Movement Control Order.

PTP’s community outreach programme aims at building a meaningful relationship with the company’s stakeholders whilst offering its employees the opportunity to give something back to the community.
