PTP Shares Joy of Aidilfitri with Residents of Rumah Seri Kenangan and Rumah Fitrah Qaseh

Pelabuhan Tanjung Pelepas Sdn Bhd (PTP), a member of MMC Group together with Johor Port Authority (JPA) joined hands to reach out to the less fortunate community during the Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration.

This year, Rumah Seri Kenangan, an old folks’ home under State Welfare Department with 330 residents aged 60 years old and above from various ethnic, religion and life background together with Rumah Fitrah Qaseh, a shelter home housing 58 children aged from 1 to 22 years old that came from poverty stricken family, homeless and also orphans were selected for the community outreach programme.

As part of both companies’ effort to provide aid to the less fortunate during this festive season, essential items such as rice, cooking oil, flour, sugar, condensed milk, biscuits and others were donated by employees of PTP and JPA. The items were handed over to the residents in a simple, yet meaningful ceremony. The residents were then treated to scrumptious delicacies followed by the distribution of duit raya to the orphans, to lift their spirits of celebrating Aidilfitri.

The community outreach programme such as the visits to Rumah Seri Kenangan and Rumah Fitrah Qaseh aims at building a meaningful relationship with both companies’ stakeholders whilst offering their employees the chance to give something back to the community.
