PTP Welcomes Director of DOSH Johor, Tuan Ir Mohd Rosdee Yaacob

Pelabuhan Tanjung Pelepas Sdn Bhd (PTP), a member of MMC Group, hosted an inaugural working visit from Tuan Ir Mohd Rosdee Yaacob, Johor State Director of Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH) and his delegation.

The delegation was welcomed by Marco Neelsen, Chief Executive Officer of PTP along with the senior management team.

The event kicked off with a visit to Wisma A Balcony area for a meet and greet session before proceeding to the Boardroom for a comprehensive briefing on PTP’s business operation, future plan as well as the safety transformation initiatives, specifically on occupational safety and health (OSH) matters.  

The delegation was then ushered for a visit to the Marine Control Centre and Fit-Port Rehabilitation Centre before proceeded to the terminal for an overview of PTP’s day-to-day operations.  

DOSH commended PTP for embarking on various OSH digitalisation initiatives such as Electronic Permit-to-Work for online permit management, Travel Request App for employees to commute safely in the terminal and PTP Connect App for employees to report safety observation. DOSH was also interested in PTP’s risk reduction activities through the Fatal 5 Programme and wished to collaborate with PTP for future OSH programmes in setting the industry best practices.    

The visit by state and federal Government agencies is part of PTP’s stakeholders’ engagement programmes focusing at fostering relationship with various state and federal agencies and authorities.
