Pelabuhan Tanjung Pelepas Sdn Bhd (PTP), a member of MMC Group, participated in the Sea Asia 2021 Virtual Conference entitled Women in Shipping – Putting Diversity and Inclusion in The Fast Lane. The highly acclaimed Sea Asia conference has always been one of the most anticipated conferences in Southeast Asia region. This year, due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the organiser shifted the experience online, allowing wider maritime community to connect seamlessly, networking and establish business contacts, hear the insights first-hand and discover new solutions, as well as access to the content anytime, anywhere.
On the third day, Marco Neelsen, Chief Executive Officer of PTP was featured together with Sakura Kuma, Chief Executive Officer of APM Terminals Japan and Agnes Enesio, Vice President for Crewing Operations of Odfjell Philippines to discuss topic on Women in Maritime Workforce. The programme was moderated by the President of Women's International Shipping & Trading Association (WISTA International), Despina Panayiotou Theodosiou.
The participation of PTP in the Sea Asia Virtual Conference 2021 was part of the company’s continuous effort to increase brand awareness in the region and as an on-going stakeholders’ engagement initiative to strengthen relationship between the company and its relevant key industry stakeholders, including leaders amid the ongoing pandemic.
