Dear Colleagues,

The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has significantly changed how we live and work. We hope you and your family are staying healthy and safe during these uncertain and unprecedented times.

Amidst the pandemic, MMC and its operating companies have organised a total of 26 initiatives with its key stakeholders that covered corporate events, engagements and Corporate Social Responsibility programmes in the last quarter.

In the Central region, we had contributed five (5) units of Nasal High Flow Therapy Machines worth RM122,500.00 to Hospital Selayang. Our contribution was aimed to assist the healthcare frontliners in handling an increasing number of COVID-19 patients.

Other than medical equipment, our operating companies in the Southern region have contributed essential food items to deserving households  to ease their burden during the pandemic.

More recently, in the Northern region, Penang Port Sdn Bhd was chosen as Pusat Pemberian Vaksin Industri (PPVIN) at its Swettenham Pier Cruise Terminal in Georgetown. The collaboration between Penang Port Commission and Northern Region Marine Department was to boost the vaccination rate amongst the port community.  Earlier, both Pelabuhan Tanjung Pelepas Sdn Bhd and Northport (Malaysia) Bhd were also chosen as PPVIN to support the Government’s effort towards achieving herd immunity in our country.

Valued readers, unwind from your busy work schedule by participating in this fun True or False game .  We have prepared giveaways for the first 10 participants with all correct answers.

We recognise that COVID-19 has presented numerous challenges, forcing us to continually adapt to the new norm in the fight against pandemic. To date more than 85% of employees within the MMC Group have completed their vaccination.  Getting vaccination gives us an added layer of protection against COVID-19 and prevents spreading it to others.  The responsibility is ours to help stop this virus. By standing together, we will get through this.

Above all, stay safe and healthy.
