Senai Airport Terminal Services Sdn Bhd (Senai International Airport), a member of MMC Group successfully co-organised a Blood Donation Campaign with Hospital Sultanah Aminah, Johor Bahru at the Aeromall.

Held from 9.00 am to 3.00 pm, a total of 80 donors have registered for this programme, however only 63 of them were healthy and eligible for blood donation. This gave a total of 63 blood bags which equivalent to 25,200 millilitres of blood from various types, that could save approximately 189 lives (a single blood bag may save up to three lives).

The Blood Donation Campaign was conducted as part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility initiative to contribute to the common shortages in blood banks especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. The campaign witnessed a positive turnout from Senai International Airport’s employees and the airport communities, including Royal Malaysian Police, Royal Malaysian Customs, Immigration Department, MAQIS, airlines, tenants as well as airport visitors. The organising committee has ensured that the campaign and all donors adhered to the COVID-19 Standard Operating Procedures as required at all times.
