Pelabuhan Tanjung Pelepas Sdn Bhd (PTP) and Johor Port Berhad (Johor Port), members of MMC Group, welcomed an official working visit by YB Dato’ Eddin Syazlee Shith, Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Economic Affairs) together with Johor Port Authority (JPA) and its delegation.
Together present during the visit were Rizzal Dolah, Principal Private Secretary to the Deputy Minister, Fauzi Othman, Special Officer to the Deputy Minister and senior management of JPA including Kamaruzzaman Munasir, General Manager of JPA, Ahmad Salhin Mustafa, Assistant General Manager, Corporate Services & Development of JPA, and Rafidah Mohd Ali, Senior Manager, Corporate Services & Development of JPA.
The Ministry’s delegation made the first visit to Johor Port and upon arrival, the delegations were brought to a joint-briefing session led by JPA and Johor Port. Md Derick Basir, Chief Executive Officer of Johor Port also elaborated on the Port’s milestones, operational performance, and the ongoing development of Johor Port as Malaysia’s Premier Southern Gateway Multi-Purpose Port. The delegations were then taken for a tour around the Port to further understand the services and facilities provided by Johor Port.
The delegations then continued their visit to PTP and were welcomed by Marco Neelsen, Chief Executive Officer of PTP, together with its management team. The delegations then proceeded to the balcony, an area that reflects PTP’s operations area followed by a comprehensive presentation related to the Port’s progress and current development.
