Pelabuhan Tanjung Pelepas Sdn Bhd (PTP), a member of MMC Group, participated in Singapore Maritime Week (SMW 2022) which was held at Marina Bay Sands Expo & Convention Centre and on dedicated SMW virtual platform.
Organised by the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore, the 16th SMW 2022 was anchored on the theme of ‘Transformation for Growth’. The week-long event brought together industry experts and thought leaders from various sectors within the maritime industry to discuss and share insights on four key areas which are innovation, sustainability, services and talent.
On the third day of the event, Marco Neelsen, Chief Executive Officer of PTP was featured together with Alexandru Duca, Director, Head of Automation Engineering of A.P. Moller-Maersk (USA), Carles Rua, Chief Innovation Officer of Port of Barcelona, Dr Arthur Morrish, Chief Executive Officer of ASPIRE (UAE) and Jasmine Ang, Project Lead Digital Operation of Vopak (Singapore) to discuss topic of ports Artificial Intelligence, Automation and Robotics Application Developments. The programme was moderated by Mark Wootton, Deputy Director, Terminal Automation of Royal HaskoningDHV (Netherlands).
The participation of PTP in Singapore Maritime Week 2022 was part of the company’s continuous effort to increase brand awareness in the region and as an on-going stakeholders’ engagement initiative to strengthen relationship between the company and its relevant key industry stakeholders, including leaders amid the ongoing pandemic.
