Malakoff Corporation Berhad, a member of MMC Group, has successfully held the third edition of Malakoff Vendors’ Awareness Day in collaboration with the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) at Malakoff’s Headquarters, Plaza Sentral, Kuala Lumpur. The event, held virtually, witnessed overwhelming participations from registered vendors as Malakoff continues to work together with their business associates to uphold governance best practices.

The main objective of this event was to improve the quality of Malakoff’s procurement procedures, enhance its process efficiency while promoting transparency and strengthen the company’s contract management processes. This initiative is also in line with Goal 12 and Goal 16 of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals which involves promoting public procurement practices that are sustainable as well as committing to fight corruption and increase transparency, respectively.

On 27 November 2020, Malakoff was honoured with the certification of ISO37001:2016 ABMS by SIRIM QAS International Sdn Bhd for its commitment in upholding the highest standards of ethical conduct, integrity and accountability in all of its business activities and operations. This is following the new Section 17A of the MACC Amendment Act 2018, enforced by the Malaysian Government on 1 June 2020.

Malakoff will continue to carry out key governance activities as part of its ESG efforts, focusing on building an effective and accountable working environment.
