Northport (Malaysia) Bhd (Northport), a member of MMC Group, organised its annual sporting event, Northport Bowling Challenge 2022 for its customers and business partners at Sunway Mega Lanes, Sunway Pyramid Shopping Centre. After two years of absence due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 14th edition of Northport Bowling Challenge garnered an overwhelming response from 44 teams to compete in the tournament.

In the Team category, Proton Holdings Berhad was crowned the champion of this year’s tournament, leaving NS Bluescope Malaysia Sdn Bhd and Boustead Petroleum Marketing Sdn Bhd at second and third positions respectively. In the Individual categories, Mohd Izwan Masudi from NS Bluescope Malaysia Sdn Bhd won the Men’s category while Norita Jaafar from Proton Holdings Berhad scored the highest pinfall to win the Women’s category.

The prizes were presented to all winners by Dato’ Azman Shah Mohd Yusof, Chief Executive Officer of Northport, Fakhrul Azhar Tajudin, General Manager of Terminal Operations and Mohd Ali Abdul Hussain, Head of Logistics & Free Zone Services.

Northport’s annual sporting events are organized with the objective to value its customers and business partners as well as to strengthen business relationships as part of the Company’s stakeholders engagement programs. These events also serve as a platform that offers opportunities for networking for the shipping and logistics industry.
