Alam Flora Sdn Bhd (Alam Flora), a subsidiary of Malakoff Corporation Berhad reaffirms its conviction for environmental-related aspirations by making sustainability a core value in its services to lead Malaysia’s transformation from a linear to circular economy. Encompassing Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) aspects across its value chain, Alam Flora has already implemented successful initiatives and educational programmes on waste management and diversion which includes its annual Sustainability Hunt event.
Organised for the second consecutive year on 23 June 2023, the Sustainability Hunt aims to foster community participation and cultivate environmental awareness through education. Participants included members of the public, media practitioners, social media community networks, Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), influencers and bloggers who leveraged their rapport to highlight the positive impacts of sustainability efforts and the current issues surrounding it.
This year, 35 participants were set to be immersed with a comprehensive understanding of environmental sustainability and its importance in shaping a greener and more sustainable future in hopes it can empower and equip them with knowledge and practical tips on waste reduction, recycling, energy conservation, and sustainable lifestyle choices.
According to Dato' Zain Hassan, Chief Executive Officer of Alam Flora, by engaging with the public, media practitioners, KOLs, influencers, and bloggers, the organisation aimed at maximising its reach and creating a powerful platform to raise awareness about environmental issues.
