Tokyo Gas Paid a Courtesy Visit to Gas Malaysia

On 5 May 2023, Gas Malaysia Berhad (Gas Malaysia or Company), a member of MMC Group, welcomed a team of delegates from Tokyo Gas Co., Ltd. and its group of companies (Tokyo Gas) to Gas Malaysia’s head office, in Shah Alam. The courtesy visit was led by the newly appointed Chief Executive Officer of Tokyo Gas, Sasayama Shin-ichi as a respond to Gas Malaysia’s courtesy visit to its Japanese partner’s business premises, led by the Chairman, Tan Sri Wan Zulkiflee Wan Ariffin. During the visit, both parties also took the opportunity to discuss a potential collaboration in the areas of e-methane, hydrogen and biomethane.

The Chief Executive Officer of Tokyo Gas, Sasayama Shin-ichi and his team were hosted by Gas Malaysia’s Chairman, Tan Sri Wan Zulkiflee Wan Ariffin, accompanied by Ahmad Hashimi Abdul Manap, Group Chief Executive Officer, Shahrir Shariff, Director of Commercial, Mohd Nisharuddin Mohd Noor, Director of Technical & Operations, Kamarul Ariffin Ibrahim, Head of Corporate Affairs and Mohd Zahir Muda, Head of Business Development.

During the engagement session, Tan Sri Wan Zulkiflee Wan Ariffin congratulated Sasayama Shin-ichi, on his appointment as the newly appointed Chief Executive Officer of Tokyo Gas. He further expressed his interest towards strengthening cooperation for the mutual benefit of both Tokyo Gas and Gas Malaysia.
